BEST TIME VISITING MT RINJANI VOLCANO?
You will get some light rain in April, May, and June. It will be warm from July, August, to September. In general, it will start to rain in Lombok, Indonesia, in October and December. Specifically, the optimal time to visit Mt. Rinjani volcano is when the National Park remains open from January 1 to March 1 each year.
WHEN THE NATIONAL PARK OPEN?
Mount Rinjani National Park is normally open nine months per year, from the 1st of April until the last of December in every year.
WHAT TO BRING DURING THE TREK?
You should pack extra snacks, a camera, warm clothes, a rain or windproof jacket, sun screen, toiletries, a headlamp, a torch, a passport, money, and possibly some balm for sore muscles.
WHAT TO PREPARE PRE TREK?
This type of mountain adventure requires a certain level of fitness, so we recommend that you engage in some walk training and sports to prepare for trekking.
DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY OR IS THERE BANK IN THE VILLAGE
We accept cash for your trekking package payment; you need cash before and after trekking. There is an ATM in Sembalun village.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOT TO SPEAK INDONESIA.?
All Muji Trekkker tours and mountain trekking guides are fluent in English and have more than five years of experience.
DO I HAVE TO CARRY CAMP EQUIPMENT.?
During the trekking program, you will only carry your own personal needs; our porter will handle all meals, drinks, and camp chores.
IS THERE LUGGAGE STORAGE PROVIDED.?
We provide free luggage storage for your extra baggage that is not taken to the mountain. It will be safe at our office in Sembalun, and you will get it after you go trekking.
HOW DO I ASSCES SAFE DRINKINGS WATER DURING THE TREK.?
During the trek, bottled water will be available for all drinks.
WHAT KINDS OF MEALS WILL BE PROVIDE ON THE MOUNTAIN.?
Three meals per day, plus some snacks, coffee, tea, and water. If there is something you don’t like or if you have allergies, please let us know in advance. You are welcome to purchase your own additional snacks before the trek commences, if you wish.
MAY I GO FISHING & SWIM AT THE LAKE.?
Yes, you can! Please inform your guide if you plan to swim, as you will need to bring a fishing rod and other necessary equipment.
I DON’T HAVE TREKKING BOOTS, CAN I HIKING WITH SNEAKERS.?
We advise you to wear closed hiking or trekking shoes or boots during your trek, as the temperature can drop significantly! It is not appropriate to climb to the summit in sandals. Hiking boots and shoes are available for hire.
WHAT IF I GET SICK & INJURED ON THE TREK?
You can treat minor cuts, abrasions, and common cold symptoms with the Muji Trekker first aid kit. If you need medical attention or want to end your trek early, your guide will accompany you back to the village. Depending on the severity of your illness or injury, they may call the Rinjani Rescue Team to assist you. Additionally, the V.I.P. package service includes a medic team during the trek, and if you choose the standard or deluxe package service, you can request their presence.
WHAT IF THE TREK IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR ME.?

WHERE CAN I GO TO THE TOILET.?
Our team will set up the toilet tent we provide for the trip.
ARE THERE ANY SHOWER FACILITIES ON THE TREK.?
No. However, should you choose a trek that goes to the lake, you can visit the hot springs, where you can wash.
SHOULD I TIP GUIDE & PORTER
Yes! It is very much appreciated if you tip your guide and porters; it is not an easy job! All tips are gratefully received!
DO I NEED TO BOOK THE TOUR/TREK IN ADVANCE.?
We highly recommend booking your trip in advance. However, if you haven’t made a reservation, you can schedule your trek for the following day.
